Programs
Since 2004, the Presidio Community YMCA Bicycle Program (YBike) has offered a wide range of professional bicycle and bicycle safety education programs to youth, schools, and the community-at-large.
Beyond our original after-school bike clubs, which began in 2004 at Francisco, Roosevelt, and Marina Middle Schools, and are now operating biweekly at 4 other San Francisco schools, we also offer: Safe Routes to Schools Education programs, such as our 1-day Bicycle safety rodeos; Bicycling and Bicycle Safety units in Physical Education (PE) classes; Summer bike and mountain bike camps; and pedestrian and bicycle safety education programs at San Francisco's School Community Hubs - playgrounds that are opened on the weekend for public use.
