Matt Dove, Associate Director
Matt Dove is from Boston, but you wouldn't know from his accent. He's worked as a bike mechanic since 1992, though has at times moonlighted as a bicycle courier and student. He coordinates our after school bike programs at Roosevelt Middle School with the help of Tanya, and also works with Tanya at Everett and the Claire Lillienthal Learning Academy. He is not a techie per-se, but has a tendency to get involved in tech-like things, such as administering this website and such. He enjoys a good mountain bike ride, pulling lots of stuff on a bike trailer, baking, sewing, and fixing stuff he finds on the streets of San Francisco (like his new juicer). Matt also speaks some Mandarin…
Tanya Liszniansky came to the YBike Program in the fall of 2008 as a full-time volunteer through AmeriCorps. She has since completed her year of service to the community and is now is now a Program Coordinator, leading after-school programs at Everett and Claire Lillienthal, co-leading at Roosevelt, and coordinating our PE program. Tanya is detail oriented, above average in height, and enjoys coffee, wool, community libraries, and going on bike rides with her dog Walter riding shotgun. Tanya hopes to someday see bicycle education become a compulsory, district-wide program in the city of San Francisco and is happy to help pave the way through her work at YBike.
Winston Parsons, Operations Coordinator
Winston Parsons, Operations Coordinator
Winston is a recent graduate from San Francisco State University with B.A. in Urban Studies. As the youngest member of Ybike, some might think that Winston is still green, and they would be right, but only in the definition of green as environmentally friendly. Winston is a long time member of the Urban Forest, rides his bike everyday for transportation, and listens to NPR.
Winston fixes anything. Whether it be your bicycle, stereo, or relationship problems, he does it all. Heck, he'll probably even fix you a tasty meal if you're nice enough. When Winston is not in the bike shop fixing stuff, you can probably find him either camping, urban exploring, or eating the best prime rib in San Francisco.

Ted Weber has worked as a YBike Program Staff since the fall of 2008. He helps coordinate our Bicycling and Bicycle Safety Units in physical education classes and our various high school programs.
"I love working with YBike because we are able to offer tremendous opportunies for people to rethink the relationship between their bicycles and the diverse city of San Francisco. I love encouraging young people to better understand their surroundings, especially the ecologies and communities in which they participate. I also get a kick out of all the positive responses we get and like to think we remind people how safe and fun it can be to ride bikes in the city."
In addition to his many roles with YBike, Ted seeks opportunities to educate and encourage others in ways to add to and make better use of local foodscapes. He loves farms and gardens and identifies the particularly robust food shed of the Bay Area with providing ample local produce and artisan vittles and especially loves the local dairies.

Phoebe has been a YBike Staff member since January of 2011. She instructs after school bike clubs at Everett Middle School, Claire Lilienthal Alternative School and Marina Middle School. Phoebe especially enjoys working with newcomer students at Everett Middle School where she puts to use her Spanish language skills. She can’t imagine a better way for students to get to know their new city than exploring it on a bike! Phoebe feels that she is constantly learning from her students and loves watching her students’ confidence grow along with their increasing bike knowledge.
In her free time Phoebe enjoys hauling camping gear, birthday cakes, scrap metal and all manner of other things with her bike. When she’s not adventuring around the Bay Area on her bicycle, Phoebe might be found in her veggie garden, at her sewing machine, or working on a piece of fiction. She has also been known to dance.
